Southern Seminary provides dozens of programs designed for believers who desire more theological training. Whether or not the Lord calls you to full-time ministry, we would recommend one of these programs:

Master of Arts Programs
- These basic master’s level programs provide training and education for individuals to serve in a number of ministry and leadership roles. Degrees range from 16-20 courses in length.
Master of Divinity Programs
- For those called to minister in today's changing world, the Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary offers trusted and comprehensive theological education. Degrees range from 24-30 courses in length.

Master of Arts in Theological Studies - Lay Leadership
- Designed to offer ministry training for those persons who are not preparing for a professional ministry vocation. The degree can be completed on-campus or online, so that you can train for ministry wherever you are.
Additional Master of Arts Programs
- These basic master’s level programs provide training and education for individuals to serve in a number of ministry and leadership roles. Degrees range from 16-20 courses in length.

Master of Divinity Programs
- For those called to minister in today's changing world, the Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary offers trusted and comprehensive theological education. The Master of Divinity is the gold standard in theological education. Degrees range from 24-30 courses in length.

Doctor of Ministry / Doctor of Educational Ministry
- If you long to faithfully lead in ministry environments and learn from world-renowned faculty, Southern Seminary's Doctor of Ministry or Doctor of Educational Ministry program is for you. These degrees offer academic rigor in a trusted environment with faculty support to ensure success. Available via modular or fully online delivery without the need to relocate to Louisville.
Doctor of Philosophy
- With a combination of academic excellence and personal mentoring in an environment of confessional scholarship, Ph.D. students at Southern Seminary are trained to advance Christian scholarship for effective kingdom ministry. Available on-campus or via modular delivery without the need to relocate to Louisville.
